Just start chars without any thought of endgame etc. My suggestion is that you first you fool around and try to learn and see what all classes skills are about. vitality damage caster, an updated version of the Cabalist caster by “nightmare” that you can find in the AoM compendium (this is an acid/poison variation of the same build ) You can check out all the builds in the beginner build section of the build compendiums So yeah, any thoughts on a good class or two I should consider to get started with? For example, a fire based Demo/Oathkeeper looks interesting, but if there are a bunch of fire resistant mobs/bosses then that would feels bad man after 20+ hours of playtime. Part of my problem is that I don’t know if there any huge late-game factors I should be aware of. With all that in mind I’ve been looking at the Arcanist, Nightblade, Demolitionist, Inquisitor, Occultist, and Oathkeeper as possible masteries to pull from. Tactical and interesting gameplay (positioning, skill synergies, etc)īoring “blunt instrument” style where you just bash things till they die (even if it’s technically super OP) Melee combat (although ranged in this game looks interesting) So, help me pick a good class for a first playthrough where I can have fun, learn the game, farm some gear for later characters, etc.Įlemental damage and spellcasting (flashy stuff, woo!) ![]() ![]() I’ve played a ton of action RPGs (including a lot of Titan Quest, so I get how the mastery system works in theory), but the level of depth and complexity here is kind of overwhelming (in a good way, but still). ![]() Except that I’m not ready, because holy lord the character paralysis is real! I finally picked up Grim Dawn and am ready to dive in.
